What about after the procedure?

- LASIK: Some mild stinging, scratchiness, or watering for a few hours after treatment. It usually settles quickly.
- LASEK and TransPRK: More discomfort for the first few days—like grit or sand in the eye. We give you drops, pain relief, and protective lenses to help.
The surface-based options (LASEK and TransPRK) tend to have a longer recovery time, but that doesn’t mean they’re worse—just different. For some people, they’re the safer choice based on their eye shape or lifestyle.
